Cells
2010- 2015
In 2010 I began looking at fish diseases and how pollution affects ocean health. I experimented with digital drawings and collage.
Although I am a classically trained artist, since donating a kidney to my father in 2011, my work changed from external to internal locus.
I began to explore internal topographies, relating images of cells from my body to specific landscapes.
I explored these ideas using Photoshop; goauche on plaster; ink on acetate; gouche, graphite and acrylic mediums on canvas and wood panels.

2014. This is a two part piece. Goauche on plaster. Each panel is 9.75" x 25" I made this series when the Ebola outbreak occurred. It can really represent any outbreak of disease or even ideas.

Osgood Kidney
I made this image in 2011, based on images of my kidney. I can see how I was thinking in modules even then. This relates to my Endometrial Hyperplasia series.
